RTE Admission 2025-26: Free Admission in Rajasthan’s Private Schools, Application Process Begins March 25

Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the Rajasthan government has announced the schedule for free admission to private schools for the 2025-26 academic session. Eligible students can apply for Nursery and Class 1 admissions from March 25 to April 7, 2025. Parents can select a maximum of five schools as options for their child’s admission.

How to Apply?

To apply for free admission, parents must visit the RTE portal and update their profiles. The application process will be open from March 25 to April 7. The selection process will be conducted through an online lottery on April 9, and selected candidates must report to their allotted schools by April 15.

Eligibility Criteria for Free Admission

Age Limit:

For Nursery admission, children must be 3 to 4 years old as of July 31, 2025.

For Class 1 admission, students must be 6 to 7 years old as of July 31, 2025.

Income Criteria:

The annual income of the parents should be less than ₹2.5 lakh to qualify for free admission under RTE.

Document Verification:

The verification process for selected students will take place from April 9 to April 21.

Parents must submit the required documents at their nearest verification center.

Documents Required for RTE Admission

To complete the admission process, parents need to provide the following documents:

Aadhar card (of the child’s household)

Birth certificate

Caste certificate (if applicable)

Income certificate

Special category certificate (if applicable)

Parent’s Jan Aadhaar and Aadhar card
