Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had met Sonia Gandhi. However, the way Ashok Gehlot issued a statement after the meeting, it was clear that the bet had gone out of his hands.
Amidst the commotion in the Rajasthan Congress, there was a lot of stir in Delhi today. In this episode, there was a meeting between Sachin Pilot and Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath. Sachin Pilot said that he has put his point before the high command. Also said that his focus will remain Rajasthan. He also talked about winning the 2023 elections by working hard. It is being speculated from this that Sachin Pilot has received the signal for takeoff.
The meeting of Sachin Pilot and Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath lasted for about an hour. After this Sachin Pilot came out and talked to the media. Although he did not say anything explicitly, but gave a big signal by saying to focus on Rajasthan. Sachin Pilot said that I met the Congress President today. She listened to me calmly. We discussed in detail what happened in Jaipur. I have conveyed my feelings to them, as well as given them my feedback.
Sachin Pilot said that Sonia Gandhi will take the entire decision regarding Rajasthan. He said that I have full faith that in the next 12-13 months, on the basis of our hard work, we will once again be able to form the Congress government in Rajasthan. Sachin Pilot said that at present our focus is to win the 2023 elections in Rajasthan. For this we have to work hard together.
Gehlot himself announced his withdrawal from the race for the post of Congress President. After that, the statement of party general secretary KC Venugopal that Sonia Gandhi will decide on the CM face of Rajasthan in the next 48 hours, has clarified the picture to a great extent.
