The incident unfolded at Om Green Meadows Apartment near Anantapura police station, where Santosh Bai lived. CCTV and mobile phone cameras recorded Mehra breaking down the gate before launching the unprovoked assault. The incident occurred on July 20 and stemmed from an apparent family dispute over household matters. Santosh’s complaint also alleges that her son physically attacked her husband while he bravely intervened.

Despite Santosh falling to the ground, Mehra continued relentlessly striking her with slippers and kicks.
