Raksha Bandhan 2023: After UP CM announced free ride for Women in Uttar Pradesh on Raksha Bandhan, now Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced free travel for the women of Uttarakhand on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Women will be able to travel in the Uttarakhand Transportation Buses for free during the festival. The services will begin from 12 noon till midnight and it will be on till 31st. Like last year this year also all the women will be able to avail free services in the buses passing through Uttarakhand and other states.
Women tied Rakhi to CM ahead of the Festival
The CM also instructed the Transport Authority to authority to ensure proper arrangements and all women will be able to benefit free travel on Raksha Bandhan across the state. Many women of the state also tied Rakhi to the CM ahead of the festival in the event organized by the Chief Minister at his residence.
All Women of Self Help Groups will get Interest Free loans
According to the Uttarakhand CM, ‘Mahila Sashakt Bahna Utsav’ is an initiative launched by the Uttarakhand Government with an aim to provide market for the products made by women’s self help groups. These women self help groups are also given interest free loans up to Rupees five lakhs in the state to make them empowered.
