Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, during his visit to Ranchi on Tuesday, revealed plans for the construction of flyovers at two crucial intersections – Ketari Bagan and Chutia Power House Chowk. Directing Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Jasmeet Singh Bindra to assess the sites and submit estimates within 15 days, the minister emphasized that construction would commence within 40 days of receiving the proposals.
PM Modi's Rail Modernization Initiative
Addressing journalists at Ranchi Railway Station, Minister Vaishnav highlighted Prime Minister Modi's commitment to modernizing the railway sector. He compared the funding scenario, noting that, pre-2014, the UPA government allocated Rs 2800 crore for Jharkhand's railway development, whereas PM Modi has allotted Rs 5271 crore. The comprehensive investment in Jharkhand's railway development is slated to reach Rs 43211 crore.
Bullet Train Corridor Survey in South-Eastern Railway
Minister Vaishnav informed the media about ongoing survey work for a bullet train corridor in the South-Eastern Railway zone. He emphasized the rapid progress of the country's first bullet train corridor and expressed plans for similar corridors across various regions. The minister's remarks underscore the government's commitment to advancing high-speed rail connectivity.
Call for Cooperation from Chief Minister Hemant Soren
While discussing the state's development, Minister Vaishnav urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to heed the Prime Minister's words and collaborate under the principles of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Prayas." The call for cooperation emphasizes the need for coordinated efforts between the state and central governments for comprehensive development.
