Surat: In the Surat area of Gujarat, a mother killed her two and a half-year-old child before reporting the kid missing. She joined the police in their hunt for her “missing” child for three days straight after filing a report, but they were unable to find him. The mother of the child was a suspect during the police investigation and was later taken into custody. An employee at a construction site in Surat’s Dindoli neighbourhood named Nayana Mandavi went to the police station to report the missing of her 2.5-year-old son, Veer Mandavi.
Desperate Search for Missing Child Leads to Conflicting Accounts and Dead Ends
The mother worked at a construction site, and the police looked through the CCTV tape, but they were unable to spot the child exiting the building. They deduced that the kid hadn’t left the scene as a result of this. The woman was extensively questioned by the police over the disappearance of her child, but she was unable to give any reasonable explanations. In addition to using a dog squad, the police searched for the missing child, but they were unable to locate any signs that the child had survived to leave the construction site. The woman said that her child had been abducted by her partner, who lives in Jharkhand. The woman’s lover was contacted by the police, but they were unable to find him in the Surat area. Having never gone to Surat, he told the police.
Hidden Truth Behind Missing Child’s Tragic Fate
Since the boy hadn’t left the work site and there was no proof of an abduction, the police faced a difficult task in trying to find him. The woman was questioned more closely, and she eventually admitted killing her child. However, she originally gave misleading information when asked where she had hid the body. The woman initially stated that the body had been buried in a pit, but nothing was discovered when the area was dug up. She then claimed to have tossed the body into a pond, but when the authorities searched there, they again found nothing. The woman admitted to throwing the body into a pit meant for the building site’s lavatory after being interrogated for a prolonged period of time. From there, the child’s body was located.
Desperate Love and Horrific Consequences
The woman responded that she was originally from Jharkhand and had a lover there when questioned about the reason behind killing her son and concealing the body. He had warned her that if she brought her child, he wouldn’t accept her. She killed her son in an effort to win her lover’s approval. She watched the film Drishyam after the murder to learn where to bury the body.
