UP News: Varanasi Police Goes Green with Self-Balancing Scooters for Tourist Security, All Details Here

To improve visitor safety and crowd control in crowded locations, Varanasi's Commissionerate Police has introduced self-balancing electric scooters.

UP News: The Varanasi Commissionerate Police has improved its intelligence. Police will patrol with self-balancing scooters for the protection of tourists. From a distance of 100 to 150 metres, the police of Tourist Station will now have little trouble keeping an eye on congested places.

Utkarsh Bank Donates 10 Electric Scooters to Varanasi Tourism Police for Enhanced Patrols

For this, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank on Friday delivered 10 self-balancing electric scooters to the commissionerate’s tourist station police. From Godaulia crossroads to Dashashwamedh Ghat, a parade of these electric scooters was planned, and Police Commissioner Mutha Ashok Jain led it. According to the police commissioner, this electric scooter is environmentally friendly. These scooters will aid in crowd control because of their ease of manoeuvrability in confined spaces.

Tourism Police Expands Patrol Zones in Varanasi

Police officers from the Tourist Station will also be stationed near these scooters in the areas of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Godaulia, Dashashwamedh, Maidagin, Assi, Sarnath, Cantt Station, Babatpur Airport, and Manikarnika Ghat. Police Commissioner and District Magistrate S. Rajalingam unveiled the Tourism Police’s new logo during the event. ACP Dashashwamedh Awadhesh Kumar Pandey, DCP Kashi RS Gautam, DCP Gomati PP Singh, DCP Traffic Vikrant Veer, ACP Dashashwamedh S. Chanappa, Tourist Station Incharge Rajesh Tripathi, and other Commissionerate officials were present.
