UP News: In North India, a severe cold snap is still going strong. For the next three days, the state is expected to see an increase in cold waves, according to the meteorological department. In numerous areas of Uttar Pradesh, schools have declared holidays as a result.
District-wise Holiday Declarations
Numerous districts, including Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ballia, and Lucknow, have declared holidays till January 13. Since January 14 falls on a Sunday, classes will resume on January 15. But there's a chance that the holidays will be extended again because of the dense fog and bitter cold. The Agra district vacation has been extended to January 20 in this series.
Assistance from District Magistrate for Students
The pupils up to class 12 have also received significant assistance from the District Magistrate. On January 15, in observance of Makar Sankranti, schools up to the 12th grade will be closed. After that, on January 16, classes six and up will have school from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Kasturba Gandhi schools would likewise be subject to these directives.
