Badrinath-Kedarnath Committee bans photography, videography

In the Kedarnath Temple, there were reports of people making videos in the past. Now the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has banned photography and videography (Phtography-Videography Prohibited) inside the Kedarnath temple. The temple committee has also put up warning boards at various places in the Kedarnath temple complex.

Now if someone is caught taking photos or making videos, then legal action will be taken against him

Ajay Ajendra, chairman of the Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee, told ANI about this. He said- ‘Some pilgrims were making videos and reels in an indecent manner inside the temple and were also taking pictures, so warning boards have also been installed in Kedarnath.’

It is clearly written on the board installed in the temple premises that photography and videography are prohibited inside the temple. Boards have also been put up at various places that you are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras, so that people don’t even try to take photos or make videos secretly.

Recently, a case of making a controversial video in the temple premises came to light on behalf of a female blogger. That video went viral on the internet as soon as it was seen. After this, the temple committee has taken this difficult decision while expressing concern over it. In that video, a couple was standing and having darshan of Lord Shankar. Then suddenly the girl proposed the boy for marriage. This video went viral on seeing it.

After this video went viral, a debate broke out and it was said that the temple should not be made a tourist spot. Since then, the temple committee started trying to take a big step against it.

No such complaint has come from Badrinath temple so far, but it is being said that soon this rule will be implemented there too and warning boards will be installed.
