Cop, cow smuggler injured in encounter at Uttarakhand

The miscreants opened fire on the police going to the spot on the information of cow slaughter under the police station Bahadarabad area. In this encounter, a policeman got shot. In retaliatory firing by the police, a miscreant was also shot. The injured were immediately sent to Roorkee Hospital.

SSP Haridwar left for the spot. On the orders of SSP, combing is going on in search of absconding miscreants by laying siege to the area.

SP City, SP Dehat police team has arrested a miscreant in the ongoing combing. During the arrest, a crook's leg was broken in the run. A cow smuggler was caught, while some of his accomplices managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness. Roorkee SOG constable Nitin has also been injured in the firing by the miscreants.
