Dehradun News: A health crisis has emerged in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, after more than 100 people fell sick due to suspected food poisoning linked to adulterated buckwheat flour (Kuttu Aata). The contaminated flour, reportedly sourced from Saharanpur, led to severe food poisoning cases, primarily during the Navratri fasting period.
The sudden spike in illness has overwhelmed hospitals in Dehradun. Currently, 66 patients are undergoing treatment at Coronation Hospital, while 44 more have been admitted to Doon Medical College. Symptoms among the affected individuals include vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhoea. Medical teams have been put on high alert to handle the crisis efficiently.
