Departments should aim to get maximum revenue: Uttarakhand CM

CM Pushkar Dhami instructed the officials to make efforts to get more revenue than the departmental target. Successful efforts of other states should be studied to increase revenue. The departments whose revenue receipt is less, the reason for that should be studied deeply and a solution should be found.

“The departments whose revenue receipt is less as per the target, the reasons for this should be studied deeply, where there is a need for improvement in the policy, that should be done,” he added.

During the review of the status of revenue receipt in the Secretariat on Monday, the CM gave several important instructions to the officials. Said that where there is a need, policy changes should also be made. The CM said that a meeting will be held in April regarding achieving the revenue target for the next financial year. In which all the departments will tell their complete plan to achieve the target.

Departments need special efforts to increase revenue receipt in Energy, Mining and Forest Department. Departmental secretaries should review it regularly to increase revenue.

In order to increase the revenue receipt, the departments will have to pay more attention to the online system. Where everyone is facilitated to work through online systems, the system is also transparent. More attention should be paid to the use of modern technology.

The CM said that in the departments where revenue is not being received as per the target, their secretaries have to find a way out. When analysis is done to solve a problem, its solution definitely emerges.
