Set The Culprits Ablaze If They Can’t be Hanged, says Ankita Bhandari’s mother

Ankita Bhandari Murder Case: Ankita Bhandari’s mother urged that the people responsible for her daughter’s murder be hanged during a media interview on Monday. The offenders should be burned alive in front of their homes if they cannot be hanged in accordance with the law, she continued.
She further stated that she was not informed prior to the execution of her daughter’s final rites. She said, “The administration hurried her final rites and they didn’t tell me about her cremation.”
The funeral services for Ankita Bhandari were held on Sunday, one day after her body was pulled from a canal in Uttarakhand. The 19-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by her employer while working as a receptionist at a resort near Rishikesh. Three individuals, including the son of a former BJP leader, have been arrested.

The family of the deceased child had agreed to have her final rites performed, according to Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, who spoke to India Today on Sunday.

Family files for memorandum

Family members of Ankita Bhandari and residents of Shrikot delivered a memo to CM Dhammi through Congressman Harish Rawat.
They sought the hanging of Pulkit Arya and the other two defendants in the case. The family members recommended that Pulkit Arya’s father and brother be held in custody while the investigation was being conducted.

In addition, the memo recommended awarding Rs 1 crore in damages to Ankita’s family. Ankita’s name should be added to a rural road and a “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” award should be created in her honour. Additionally, it ordered that a memorial monument be built in Ankita’s honour and that a government college be established where the resort formerly stood.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) would visit the resort today and set up camp there for a few days to gather information on the crime, according to Ashok Kumar, director general of police in Uttarakhand. The three suspects in the case are currently being interrogated, he continued, and the real motive for the murder will soon come to light.
