Uttarakhand Avalanche: 8 Mountaineers Rescued out of 21 Trapped, Says Police

Uttarakhand Avalanche: An avalanche that struck Draupadi's Danda-2 mountain summit in Uttarakhand imprisoned 29 novice mountaineers. While eight of them have been saved, attempts are being made to save the remaining nine.
The Nehru Mountaineering Institute in Uttarkashi is the source of all the trainees. Indian Air Force helicopters have reportedly been brought into action to rescue the trapped cadets, according to Uttarakhand police head Ashok Kumar.

The team was buried in the avalanche at an elevation of 16,000 feet this morning about 9 am, according to the information that has been provided thus far. The representative claimed that the trainees are being transported first to a neighbouring helipad at a height of 13,000 feet, then to Dehradun.

Rescue Operations are ongoing as per CM Pushkar Singh Dhami

Teams from the National Disaster Response Force, the State Disaster Response Force, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police are taking part in the rescue effort, according to the office of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

In order to save the trainees caught in the avalanche on Draupadi's Danda-2 mountain top as soon as possible, the district administration, NDRF, SDRF, Army, and ITBP troops are conducting rapid relief and rescue operations, according to a tweet from the Chief Minister's Office.

The Chief Minister's Office stated that he had a talk with Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister, and asked for the Army's assistance. It stated, "The centre has assured every help."
