Officials have also enhanced facilities at key transit points, including accommodation, drinking water supply, sanitation services, and information centres. Efforts have been made to ensure that pilgrims receive timely assistance and guidance during their journey.
The statement comes amid a significant surge in pilgrim arrivals this year, with Kedarnath and Badrinath witnessing record footfall. The government has been continuously reviewing arrangements and monitoring crowd movement to prevent congestion and ensure a comfortable pilgrimage experience.
Authorities have emphasized the use of technology for real-time monitoring, weather updates, traffic regulation, and coordination between various departments involved in managing the yatra. Special measures have also been taken to address challenges arising from adverse weather conditions in the mountainous region.
