Uttarakhand News: Central Government Allocates Additional Electricity Quota for Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand News : The central government has announced an additional allocation of electricity for the state of Uttarakhand, covering the period from April 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024. This allocation follows a previous allocation made on September 19, 2023, which covered the months from October 2023 to March 2024.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had previously appealed to Union Energy Minister RK Singh

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had previously appealed to Union Energy Minister RK Singh for an extended quota of electricity to address the state’s needs during the summer months. Consequently, the central government has granted an additional quota of 150 MW specifically for the summer season. This allocation is anticipated to help maintain a stable power supply during the hotter months.

Expressing gratitude towards the central government, Chief Minister Dhami acknowledged the significance of this special allocation of electricity in ensuring the state’s energy requirements are met adequately.
