Uttarakhand News: A massive fire broke out near the Garjiya Devi Temple complex in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand on Monday. Thankfully, no injuries or casualties were reported, but the blaze caused significant damage.

The Garjiya Devi Temple, a holy site dedicated to Goddess Parvati, sits picturesquely next to Corbett National Park. Devotees flock to this temple throughout the year, drawn to its spiritual atmosphere and stunning riverside location.
Fire Engulfs Shops Selling Puja Samagri
The fire erupted in the shops surrounding the temple, which primarily sell puja samagri (items used for worship). The flames quickly spread, creating a large blaze. Firefighters arrived swiftly and battled the inferno, eventually bringing it under control.
Despite the chaos, thankfully there were no reports of injuries or loss of life. However, the fire caused substantial damage to the shops in the vicinity of the temple.

Located near Ramnagar’s Jim Corbett National Park, the Garjiya Devi Temple sees a surge in devotees, particularly during Kartik Poornima in November. During this festival, the temple is illuminated with countless oil lamps, creating a spectacular sight against the backdrop of the Kosi River.
