In a proactive move to combat the growing menace of cyber crime, the Uttarakhand Police is preparing to unveil a pioneering initiative known as ‘Cyber Comics’. Designed to enhance public awareness about the perils of cyber fraud, these comics will incorporate characters generated through artificial intelligence (AI), a technology being developed by the cyber police unit of the Special Task Force (STF).

Uttarakhand is on track to be the first Indian state to employ AI in the creation of a comic series. The narratives within these comics will revolve around the adventures of a fictional character named “Super Cop Chakresh”. Delivered in video format, each episode of the comic will be released every Monday, featuring stories centered on cyber fraud.
Structured to cater to diverse age groups, the content of these comics will be both engaging and informative. Each video is expected to span approximately 30 to 50 seconds. Dissemination efforts are being orchestrated through social media channels and WhatsApp groups.
The themes explored in these comics will revolve around the tactics criminals employ to deceive individuals using technology, alongside practical guidance on safeguarding oneself against falling victim to such schemes. The objective is to foster awareness not only within Uttarakhand but across the entire nation.
With a commitment to reaching a broad audience, the police will leverage the power of social media platforms to circulate the ‘Cyber Comics’. Furthermore, the state police is strategizing to incorporate these materials into educational institutions such as schools and colleges. By engaging with the young minds of students, this initiative aims to nurture a culture of cyber safety and vigilance from an early age.
