Uttarakhand Weather Update: The weather pattern has changed in Uttarakhand for the second day as well. Today the day started with light sunshine in the plains while it is cloudy in the hilly areas. At the same time, there are chances of snowfall in areas at altitude of 3500 meters and above in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. Yellow alert for rain has been issued in all other districts. However, there are chances of getting relief in the next few days from tomorrow i.e. Wednesday.
The Meteorological Center has predicted snowfall and rain along with lightning and wind on October 17 in the plains including the hills. Along with increasing cold due to rain in the mountainous areas, the temperature is also falling in the plains. Whereas from October 18 to 20, the weather across the state is expected to remain dry.
Where is the weather?
- Light clouds prevailed in Mussoorie. The temperature in the city dropped to 10 degrees.
- Light sunshine in New Tehri. Cold increased due to heavy rain yesterday
- Dense clouds covered Kedarnath.
- Clouds covered Yamunotri Dham. Snowfall season continues.
- Clear weather in Rishikesh. The sun shone.
- Cold increased due to rain and snowfall in Chamoli. The sky was sunny amidst scattered clouds.
- The sky was cloudy in Vikasnagar. The cold increased as the temperature dropped.
