Uttrakhand CM Dhami To Initiate Cabinet Expansion

Discussions have started again regarding cabinet expansion in Uttarakhand. Amid speculations of cabinet expansion, there has been an uproar in the BJP. BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt has given indications of expansion. Three posts in the cabinet are lying vacant since last year, while cabinet minister Chandan Ram Das has passed away recently.

Because of this, discussions regarding cabinet expansion are intensifying. At present only six districts including Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami are represented in the cabinet. Even important districts like Haridwar and Nainital are running empty. Since the death of Chandan Ramdas, only two ministers from Kumaon Mandal, Rekha Arya and Saurabh Bahuguna, are in the cabinet.

BJP state president Bhatt claims that cabinet expansion may happen after May 15. Meanwhile, after the video of cabinet minister Premchand Aggarwal’s fight in Rishikesh went viral, many MLAs are speculating that his chair is also in danger. In the midst of discussions about cabinet expansion, enthusiasm has also increased among the legislators.

However, the Karnataka assembly elections are currently underway and the BJP central leadership is busy with it. Voting is on 10th May and counting of votes on 13th. Because of this, the MLAs have not yet started the race for Delhi, but are engaged in manipulation through political satraps. On Friday, BJP state president Bhatt said that there is a possibility of cabinet expansion anytime after May 15.
