27 days have passed since the murder of Umesh Pal and his two government gunners in Prayagraj. Many teams of Prayagraj Police and UP STF are conducting raids. Meanwhile, after the arrest of five accused involved in the conspiracy of Umesh Pal murder case, now 3 teams are engaged to arrest Shaista Parveen.
The police claimed to have recovered Rs 2.25 lakh in cash and six cellphones from the accused. They also conducted a raid at the office of jailed former MP Atiq Ahmed
During the election of Shaista Parveen, wife of mafia don Atiq Ahmed, two women who were always together have also come under the radar of the police. After the elections, both the women used to walk with Shaista. Due to this, the police arrested five accused with 10 weapons and a huge amount of cash from Atiq Ahmed’s hideout.
After interrogating the arrested accused Ahmed and Rakesh, the police got important information of Shaista Parveen.
Information about other helpers involved in the conspiracy has also come to the hands of the police from the phone recovered from Shajar. Meanwhile, a person has been detained in Kaushambi district adjacent to Prayagraj, who is said to be close to Atiq.
Overnight raid in Dhumanganj, Springfield rifle recovered
Prayagraj police swung into action after the arrest of 5 people involved in the conspiracy of Umesh Pal murder case and belonging to Atiq Ahmed gang. Raids were conducted overnight in Khuldabad Kareli area of Dhumanganj. Around 15 people were detained.
According to sources, three henchmen of Atiq Ahmed, who have information about the plot of Umesh Pal murder case, are also in custody.
A Springfield rifle was also recovered from one of the detained henchmen. In the Umesh Pal murder case, the shooter Sabir was firing from the Springfield rifle only. Yesterday, cartridges of Springfield rifle were also recovered from Atiq Ahmed’s office.
All five were arrested
The accused arrested from Atiq’s hideout include Niyaz Ahmed, Mohammad Shajar, Cash Ahmed, Rakesh Kumar and Arshad Khan. Asad used to make net calls from the phone of the arrested Niaz Ahmed and used to talk to Atiq and Ashraf who were in jail. Niyaz Ahmed was given the responsibility of conducting Reiki in the Umesh Pal murder case.
It was Niaz Ahmed who did Reiki from Umesh Pal’s court to his house and followed him several times. A meeting was held at Atiq’s house (where Shaista used to live) to execute the Umesh Pal.
