While paying tribute to the former Chief Minister, CM Yogi Adityanath stated, "Every person accepted his efficiency, his hard work and his administrative ability. It often happens that people sacrifice their principles for power, compromise with their values to achieve something, but there was a personality who never compromised with his values and principles."

He further said, "During the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and even after that, he gave a new direction to the politics of the state and the efforts that were started at the beginning of the 1990s and even after to perfect administrative efficiency, gave a vision of a new Uttar Pradesh."

Kalyan Singh’s Political Journey

Kalyan Singh's political career was marked by numerous achievements as well as challenges. He first became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1991, after the BJP's success in the assembly elections. However, he resigned from his position in 1992 due to political differences. Despite these setbacks, he was re-elected as the Chief Minister from 1997 to 1999. In the years following, Kalyan Singh parted ways with the BJP, forming a new party, but eventually returned to the BJP in 2004. He rejoined the party once again in 2013.

In 2014, Kalyan Singh took office as the Governor of Rajasthan, a position he held until 2019. His tenure as governor further solidified his reputation as a dedicated public servant.
