Maha Kumbh 2025: Prayagraj is witnessing extensive preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025, scheduled to commence on January 13. The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is working to manage the event, which is expected to draw an estimated 40 to 50 crore devotees. From infrastructure upgrades to introducing advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), several measures are being implemented to ensure the smooth conduct of this significant event.

With a focus on improving visitor experience, efforts include beautifying the ghats, repairing roads and setting up a large tent city. The administration is also prioritising security and disaster management to handle the anticipated massive crowds effectively.

UP Police Gears Up for Maha Kumbh 2025 Security

The Uttar Pradesh Police has laid out detailed security plans for Maha Kumbh 2025. DGP Prashant Kumar stated that the event is expected to attract around 40 to 50 crore visitors during its 45-day duration, with key dates including Shahi Snans on January 29 and February 3. To manage such a large turnout, the police have developed a seven-tier security arrangement across the entire fair area.

Disaster management is a major focus for the Maha Kumbh preparations. Equipment worth ₹200 crores has been procured to address emergencies such as fires, rescues and incidents of drowning. The administration has made arrangements to ensure a swift response to potential disasters, emphasising visitor safety.

CCTV cameras will monitor the event zone, and international border areas will see increased vigilance to prevent any untoward incidents. Special training programs are being conducted for the police force to enhance preparedness. The administration is also monitoring social media to counter any misinformation or harmful content that could disrupt the event's proceedings.

Infrastructure Development Under CM Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been actively involved in overseeing the preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025. Recently, he visited Prayagraj, where he participated in Ganga Aarti and reviewed ongoing projects, including the construction of a tent city spanning 4000 hectares near the Sangam ghats.

Efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the spiritual ambiance include beautification initiatives at ghats and the introduction of better facilities for devotees. These steps aim to accommodate the significant influx of pilgrims and provide a better overall experience.

AI Integration for Visitor Assistance

A notable feature of the preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025 is the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist visitors. QR codes in various colors will be available throughout the event area, providing different types of information. For example:

Orange QR Code: Information about Uttar Pradesh’s achievements.

Light Blue QR Code: Details about accommodations.

Red QR Code: Instant help services.

Light Green QR Code: Information related to the Kumbh administration.

Black QR Code: Access to Kumbh Sah'AI'yak ChatBot for assistance.

This AI-enabled system aims to improve accessibility to essential services and enhance the overall experience for visitors.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj is being organised on a large scale, with significant emphasis on safety, convenience, and technology. The combined efforts of the Uttar Pradesh government, led by CM Yogi Adityanath, along with the UP Police and disaster management teams, aim to manage the logistics of this massive event effectively. With a mix of traditional spiritual practices and modern technology, the Maha Kumbh is poised to be a monumental gathering.
