Action taken against minors riding two-wheelers in Ghaziabad

In Ghaziabad, traffic police is taking strict action against minors driving two wheelers and seizing their vehicles. Seizing 91 vehicles in a week, FIR has been registered against the parents and vehicle owners of these minors. 12 FIRs have been registered in Kavinagar police station, 8 in Nandgram and 10 in Kotwali.

Apart from this, 4 in Vijayanagar, 13 in Sahibabad, 5 in Teela Mor, 4 in Loni, 5 in Madhuban Bapudham, 3 in Modinagar, 5 in Mussoorie, 7 in Indirapuram, 2 in Kaushambi, 4 in Muradnagar, 3 in Crossings Republic, Sihani 3 such FIRs have been registered in Gate, 1 in Link Road and 2 in Wave City Police Station. ADCP Traffic Ramanand Kushwaha had made the outline by taking a meeting with the staff before starting this drive. Kushwaha told that people under the age of 18 cannot drive vehicles.

Action is being taken on these youths as well

Along with this, the traffic police is also taking action against those who have not obtained a license and are driving a vehicle despite having crossed the age of 18. In such cases, 149 vehicles were challaned by the police. The traffic police is visiting schools and colleges to make students aware of traffic rules.

Major share in accidents of minors

ADCP Traffic Ramanand Kushwaha said that school-college going children are walking on bike-scooties even before they turn 18. After studying the road accidents, it is revealed that a major share in the accidents is driven by minors.
