Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed concern over the continuous rainfall in several districts of the state. He said, “Given the adverse weather conditions, administrative officers must remain in constant contact with farmers. Unseasonal rains have disrupted farmers’ peace, but the government stands firmly as their support and will ensure that they do not face undue hardship.”

On Tuesday, following another spell of unseasonal rain, the Chief Minister sought reports from District Magistrates regarding the difficulties faced by farmers.

He directed that District Magistrates should personally visit farmers and ensure that their subordinate officials remain active in the field.

He added, “Along with assessing crop losses, compensation must be provided in a time-bound manner. Every effort should be made to minimize the impact of the disaster on farmers.”

The CM added, “Compensation for loss of life, livestock, injuries, and all affected individuals must be ensured within a fixed timeframe. Any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.”

Instructing officials to remain on alert, the Chief Minister said, “The Revenue Department, Agriculture Department, and insurance companies should conduct an immediate joint survey of crop losses and inform the government, so that compensation can be provided to farmers without delay.”

He further directed all District Magistrates to remain continuously in the field, assess the ground situation, and ensure accurate evaluation of crop damage in affected areas, so that farmers receive timely and appropriate assistance.

The Chief Minister also instructed the Principal Secretary (Agriculture) and the Relief Commissioner to maintain direct communication with field officials and ensure coordination.

He noted, “All information should be collected and submitted to the government in a timely manner to facilitate prompt relief measures.”
