Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a strict stance against illegal land grabs by the Waqf Board, especially those carried out with the involvement of government officials. The UP government is now cracking down on officials who played a role in transferring government property to the Waqf Board. CM Yogi Adityanath has issued clear instructions to identify and take action against those responsible.
Reports suggest that thousands of acres of land in Ayodhya, Bareilly, Jaunpur, Rampur, and Shahjahanpur have been illegally occupied under the name of the Waqf Board. The UP government has now shifted its focus to recovering these government properties and holding the officials involved accountable.
CM Yogi Adityanath has reaffirmed his government's zero-tolerance policy on illegal land occupation. He has emphasised that those responsible for allowing the Waqf Board to unlawfully seize government properties will be dealt with strictly. The UP government is actively investigating officials who helped in these illegal land transfers.

To speed up the process, the Yogi government has demanded detailed reports on the Waqf Board properties. The crackdown has intensified in Ayodhya, Bareilly, Rampur, Shahjahanpur, and Jaunpur, where large areas of government land have been identified as illegally occupied.
CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered district officials to submit a detailed list of illegally occupied government properties under the Waqf Board’s name. The report must include the land's location, area, and plot numbers. According to recent findings, Bareilly, Ayodhya, Jaunpur, Rampur, and Shahjahanpur have the highest number of illegal land occupations.
In a shocking revelation, reports indicate that 57,792 government properties across Uttar Pradesh have been illegally taken over. The UP government has now started legal proceedings to reclaim these lands. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the government officials involved in these fraudulent transfers.
