Chhangur Baba Exposed: UP Godman Funded 'Love Jihad' Network Targeting 1,000 Hindu Girls, ATS Probe Reveals Startling Details
Chhangur Baba has been accused of funding over 1,000 Muslim men to trap Hindu girls in a ‘love jihad’ conversion racket across Uttar Pradesh. The ATS has arrested him and demolished his illegal Rs 5 crore mansion.
Uttar Pradesh's self-styled godman Chhangur Baba, whose real name is Jalaluddin, is at the centre of a massive controversy. According to sources in the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Chhangur Baba is accused of funding over 1,000 Muslim men across seven districts to lure Hindu girls for conversion through ‘love jihad’.
Investigators say this network has been running for the last three years, with foreign funding of over Rs 500 crore. The money is believed to have come from Muslim nations and was reportedly sent through the Indo-Nepal border. Many of the women targeted were poor, widowed, or otherwise vulnerable, say sources.
The ATS has arrested Chhangur Baba and his close associate Neetu alias Nasreen, who allegedly managed the foreign funds. Both are now in seven-day custody. According to officials, Neetu was responsible for distributing cash to the men involved in the conversion plans.
Chhangur’s son Mehboob and another aide, Naveen alias Jamaluddin, were arrested earlier and remain in Lucknow District Jail. The NIA and the

Intelligence Bureau are now questioning all four to trace the complete foreign funding trail, especially links to Dubai, Sharjah, and the UAE.
The ATS is also checking property deals and bank transfers connected to Baba and his family. It’s been found that he used his son’s account to buy land and cover up the flow of illegal funds. Now, those who sold land to him are also under investigation.
40-Room Mansion Of Chhangur Baba Demolished
In a major crackdown, authorities demolished Chhangur Baba’s Rs 5 crore mansion in Balrampur, which was illegally built on government land. The luxurious bungalow had 40 rooms and a marble gate. It took 10 bulldozers and three full days to bring it down.
This case has now become a major talking point across the country. Officials say the love jihad network was well-organised and backed by large foreign donations. More arrests are expected as the ATS continues to follow the money trail and unravel the full operation.
