CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh’s Tourism Department is giving the state’s tourist experience a fresh, food-forward upgrade. It has announced plans to launch state-of-the-art double-decker food trucks in Lucknow, operated by the Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board (UPETDB), with tenders already invited for the project.
“UPETDB Will Operate the Food Trucks” – Jaiveer Singh
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh confirmed the rollout, noting that the trucks will be fully motorised and compliant with statutory standards.
“In the first phase, these state-of-the-art food trucks are planned to operate at Lucknow’s Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Park.”
He also cited Lucknow’s UNESCO “Creative City of Gastronomy” status as added reason to showcase local cuisine globally.

Phased, State-Wide Expansion
CM Yogi Adityanath: After the Lucknow launch, the trucks will expand to other major tourist, religious, and cultural sites based on visitor response. This ties into CM Yogi Adityanath’s broader tourism vision, which frames the sector as a driver of jobs and local prosperity as part of UP’s push toward a $1 trillion economy by 2029–30.
Notably, this follows the state’s first double-decker electric bus, launched in Lucknow in 2024 — suggesting a deliberate pattern of eye-catching, experiential upgrades to public and tourist infrastructure across UP.
