Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the urgent need to restore religious sites desecrated during the era of “barbaric foreign invaders,” calling it a collective resolve of Sanatan Dharma. The Chief Minister highlighted that revered places such as Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura, and other important centers of faith that suffered during centuries of slavery must now be reinstated with full respect and dignity. “Such restoration is not merely an act of faith but a solemn responsibility towards our rich cultural and spiritual legacy,” Adityanath asserted.

Reflecting on the historic struggle for the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple

Reflecting on the historic struggle for the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Adityanath said, “For 500 years, seers and devotees worked relentlessly, sacrificing their lives and comfort, to realize this vision. Today, that dream stands fulfilled as a symbol of our collective perseverance and faith.”

The Chief Minister also shared personal memories of Swami Haryacharya Maharaj, recalling his deep passion for the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and his efforts to preserve the unity of Sanatan Dharma as “unforgettable and inspiring.”

Adityanath further stressed that respect for religious symbols must go hand-in-hand with reverence for national symbols like the Indian national flag (tricolour) and the Constitution of India. “A true Sanatani expresses gratitude towards the nation’s soldiers and promotes the upliftment of society, rather than focusing solely on individual salvation,” he said.

He underscored that Sanatan Dharma’s teachings are rooted in social responsibility, patriotism, and universal brotherhood, aiming to strengthen the fabric of Indian society.

The event drew a large gathering of spiritual leaders, seers, mahants, and political dignitaries, including Surya Pratap Shahi, Ayodhya Mayor Mahant Girishpati Tripathi, and MLA Ved Prakash Gupta. Devotees from across the region also attended the commemorative event, which featured prayers, discourses, and tributes to the revered saint.

This occasion reaffirmed the continued relevance of Sanatan Dharma in promoting cultural pride, national unity, and societal harmony in contemporary India.
