The pronouncement of the projects to be funded includes investments in the areas of semiconductors, printed circuit boards, and electronics manufacturing, thus taking a giant leap toward turning Uttar Pradesh into a high-tech industry key player.
Key Projects Approved in the Yamuna Authority Area
1. HCL Foxconn Joint Venture Semiconductor Unit
The joint venture of HCL with Foxconn, India Chips Pvt Ltd, has been allocated a parcel of 48 acres of land to establish a unit for semiconductor manufacturing. The total investment for this project is ₹3,706 crore.
2. Ascent Circuit PCB Manufacturing Unit
Ascent Circuit has been granted 16 acres of land for setting up a PCB manufacturing unit with an investment of ₹3,250 crore. This initiative will not only support the electronics supply chain but also lessen the dependence on imports.
3. Amber Enterprises Electronics Manufacturing Facility
Amber Enterprises has received 100 acres of land for the electronics manufacturing project with a budget of ₹3,532 crore. The production of large-scale electronics will be the main focus of the facility.
Medical Education Gets a Boost
Along with the industrial projects, the government has also given 20 acres of land to the Bodhisatva Trust for constructing a medical college with an investment of ₹532 crores.
Strengthening Make in India and Employment Generation
The mega projects are in line with the Make in India campaign and are expected to generate thousands of jobs both directly and indirectly.
