CM Yogi Adityanath: The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is gearing up to provide seamless transportation for devotees attending the Magh Mela 2026, which begins on January 3, 2026. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey, UPSRTC has arranged 3800 special buses, with an additional 200 buses on standby for major bathing festivals.

- Special Bus Services: 3800 buses will operate from various regions, including Lucknow (500), Gorakhpur (450), Azamgarh (450), Varanasi (380), Ayodhya (270), Prayagraj (550), Chitrakoot (50), Jhansi (270), Kanpur (250), Hardoi (250), and Devi Patan (250).
- Additional Buses: 200 extra buses will be deployed on major bathing days, including Makar Sankranti (January 15), Mouni Amavasya (January 18), and Basant Panchami (January 23).
- Temporary Bus Stations: UPSRTC has set up temporary bus stations to manage the large influx of pilgrims.
- Convenient Booking: Passengers can book their tickets online or through authorized agents.
Safety and Security Measures:
UPSRTC has ensured that all buses are equipped with necessary safety features, including GPS tracking, CCTV cameras, and emergency exits. Additionally, trained drivers and conductors will be on board to assist passengers.
Accommodation and Food:
Pilgrims can avail of accommodation facilities at designated hostels and dhamshalas. Food stalls and drinking water facilities will also be available at bus stations and along the route.
Traffic Management:
To avoid congestion, UPSRTC has planned alternative routes and traffic management strategies. Pilgrims are advised to plan their journey accordingly and follow traffic rules.
