In January 2026, Puch AI co-founder and CEO Siddharth Bhatia met CM Yogi Adityanath and commented that the vision and policy direction on AI of the UP government were well-defined. Bhatia had then remarked that the vision and policy direction would quickly translate into tangible, massive outcomes in the years to come, including large-scale and sustainable employment generation.
A Transformational Vision for AI Development
A multi-pronged strategy lies at the heart of the MoU to build a comprehensive AI ecosystem in the state. Proposed initiatives include the development of an artificial intelligence park, AI Commons platform, large-scale data centre infrastructure and a dedicated AI University. Together, all these components would help in creating a seamless pipeline from research & education to industry development and real-world application.
The AI Park would serve as a nucleus for research labs, startups and global tech forms, fostering rapid innovation and collaboration. On the other hand, the data centre infrastructure would offer the computational backbone that is required for AI development. The AI Commons would represent a democratized approach to artificial intelligence. It would empower students, researchers and developers to innovate, experiment and build solutions without prohibitive barriers by making tools, datasets and frameworks accessible.
