CM Yogi Adityanath to launch School Chalo Abhiyan 2026 from Saharanpur, unveil ₹613 crore development projects

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will launch the statewide second phase of the School Chalo Abhiyan 2026 from Saharanpur on July 1, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to ensuring that every child has access to quality education.

The campaign, which will run from July 1 to July 15, aims to achieve maximum enrolment in schools, bring out-of-school children into the education system, and strengthen the admission drive for the new academic session. During the programme, students will receive textbooks, school bags, and stationery, while headmasters of the district’s best-performing schools will also be honoured.

CM unveil ₹613 crore development projects

The Chief Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹613 crore in the Saharanpur Nagar and Saharanpur Dehat Assembly constituencies. The projects are intended to improve public infrastructure and accelerate development in the district.

Alongside the infrastructure projects, certificates will be distributed to beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes. The programme is part of the state government’s efforts to combine educational initiatives with public welfare and infrastructure development.

Among the key projects are the inauguration of development works, including an approach road and retaining wall at the Pawandhoi-Dhamola river confluence, construction of panchayat buildings, and the foundation laying for major infrastructure projects such as a sewage treatment plant and new facilities at a Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI).

The Uttar Pradesh Government said it remains committed to improving the quality of education, strengthening school infrastructure, and ensuring that every child becomes part of the state’s vision of a skilled, educated, and developed Uttar Pradesh.
