CM Yogi Adityanath to launch teacher health scheme, transfer DBT to students and unveil ₹951 crore projects in Chitrakoot

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to launch a series of education, healthcare and development initiatives from Varanasi and Chitrakoot, aimed at strengthening social welfare and accelerating regional development across the state.

In Varanasi, the Chief Minister will launch the Mukhyamantri Shikshak Cashless Chikitsa Yojana, a health insurance initiative that will provide cashless medical treatment to nearly 12 lakh teachers, non-teaching staff and their dependents. The scheme is intended to enhance healthcare security for employees associated with the state’s education sector.

Yogi transfer DBT to students and unveil ₹951 crore projects in Chitrakoot

The government will also transfer ₹1,200 per student through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system into the bank accounts of parents of around 1.10 crore students. The financial assistance is aimed at helping families purchase school-related essentials and encouraging greater participation in education.

Another major initiative includes the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Bank of India to strengthen the social security framework for nearly 10 lakh teachers and contractual employees. During the programme, principals and headmasters of schools selected at the national level for maintaining clean and green campuses will also be felicitated.

Meanwhile, in Chitrakoot and Manikpur Assembly constituencies, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 124 development projects worth over ₹951 crore. These projects cover sectors such as infrastructure, public welfare and civic development, and are expected to improve connectivity, public services and overall quality of life in the region.

According to the state government, the combined initiatives reflect its focus on strengthening education, expanding healthcare benefits and accelerating inclusive development. Officials said the projects are expected to benefit millions of citizens while contributing to the vision of a developed and self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.
