CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has announced that the government would increase the grant to daughters from poor families for their marriages.

Under the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana, the CM Yogi Adityanath government would increase the amount from Rs. 51,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. The state government has allocated Rs. 750 crore for the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana.
CM Yogi Adityanath-Focus On Poor Families
The Uttar Pradesh government would focus on poor families in the state through this welfare scheme. There is no denying the fact that marriages of daughters are a significant financial challenge for poor and under-privileged families. This financial assistance would help families that are short on money. The move is seen by many as a masterstroke ahead of the state elections in 2027.
The Scooty Scheme
The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated Rs. 400 crore for the Rani Lakshmibai Scooty Scheme. Under the scheme, meritorious female girls and women would receive a Scooty so they don’t have to face inconvenience commuting to educational institutions. Also, the government would provide scooters for girls and women so commuting to work and coaching classes does not become a challenge. The UP government also announced opening of job placement centres for girls and women of the state.
These centres would offer technical training to girls and women in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This would help them become financially independent and gain employment.
