Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has welcomed the Union Cabinet’s approval of the GOBARdhan (Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan) Scheme, with an outlay of ₹23,731 crore, calling it a landmark initiative for promoting self-reliance, clean energy, and rural prosperity.

The Chief Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the approval, stating that the scheme represents a significant step towards strengthening India’s sustainable development goals and accelerating the transition to a circular economy.

According to Yogi Adityanath, the GOBARdhan Scheme will play a crucial role in increasing farmers’ income, encouraging rural entrepreneurship, and converting organic waste into valuable economic resources through the “Waste to Wealth” approach. He said the initiative is also expected to attract investments in the bio-energy sector while enhancing the country’s energy security.
The Chief Minister described the decision as environmentally sustainable and people-centric, noting that it aligns with the vision of building an Atmanirbhar Bharat by creating new opportunities in rural areas and promoting cleaner sources of energy.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yogi Adityanath said the ambitious scheme would serve as a milestone in supporting farmers, advancing renewable energy, and driving long-term economic growth across rural India.
