Ghaziabad News: NCRTC Unveils RapidX Rail Fare Structure; Sahibabad-Duhai Depot Trip Set at ₹50

RapidX Train Service: Fare Structure, Ticketing, and More for Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has made a groundbreaking announcement about the fare structure for the upcoming RapidX train service, a pivotal transportation lifeline connecting various parts of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. PM Modi is likely to inaugurate RapidX on 20th October.

Key Highlights:

Sahibabad to Duhai Depot Journey Fare: Travelers will be charged a fare of ₹50 for the standard class while the premium class is priced at ₹100.

Fare Details: The base fare starts from as low as ₹20 for the standard class, with a premium class beginning at ₹40. Notably, passengers commuting between Ghaziabad and Duhai Depot, as well as Guldhar to Duhai Depot, will have to shell out ₹30. A trip from Duhai to Duhai Depot is priced at ₹20 for the standard class. For those opting for a premium experience, the fares rise to ₹60 for journeys between Ghaziabad to Duhai Depot and Guldhar to Duhai Depot, while Duhai to Duhai Depot stands at ₹40.

Launch Date: The much-anticipated Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor’s primary segment is scheduled to be inaugurated on the 20th of October. Operations for the general public commence from 21st October, running from 6 am to 11 pm.

Ticketing Insights: Children below 90cm in height are in for a treat as they can hop on the RapidX train for free. Ticket purchasing has been made seamless with multiple avenues including digital QR code-based tickets, station counters, the versatile National Common Mobility Card (NCMC), ticket vending machines, and paper QR-based tickets. For those interested, NCMC cards come with a recharge range of ₹100 to ₹2,000. A breakdown of vending machines shows Sahibabad and Ghaziabad stations equipped with 4 each, while Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot stations have 2 each.

Luggage Policy: Travel light! The RapidX train allows luggage up to 25 kilograms.
