Greater Noida News: Handicrafts Expo to start tomorrow; Focus to be on eco-friendly products

Greater Noida News: The 56th edition of The Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF) 2023, also known as the autumn edition, is set to begin on October 12. Organizers announced that this year’s exhibition will focus on sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle products. The five-day event will take place at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida and run until October 16, with over 3,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries presenting a wide range of products in 16 categories, including handicrafts, home decor, furnishing, and houseware.

Handicrafts Expo to start tomorrow;

The B2B fair will be open to overseas buyers, buying and sourcing consultants, and large domestic volume retail buyers, with over 5,500 buyers already registered. The Exports Promotion Council of Handicrafts, which organizes the fair, has begun holding awareness seminars for handicraft manufacturers to educate them about the carbon footprint of their products and how to reduce it.

Exhibitors at IHGF 2023 will showcase various eco-friendly products such as cotton and jute lifestyle accessories, hand-painted artisanal apparel using natural colorants, quilling crafts using waste cloth and paper, fashion accessories made from plant fibers, non-violent silk items, bamboo flasks and straws, cane and bamboo home decor items, and floor mats. A panel discussion and product gallery focused on sustainable and recycled products will emphasize the commitment to eco-friendly principles during the fair.
