The GreaterNoida Authority has given the go-ahead to build a four-kilometer, six-lane elevated road from Ek Murti Chowk in Greater Noida West to NH-9. The road will go through Shahberi and Crossing Republic. This elevated corridor will connect the busy Delhi-Meerut Expressway and National Highway-9 immediately. This will give commuters a smooth route and make traffic in the area a lot less crowded.
Project Details and Timeline
The stretch from Ek Murti Chowk to NH-9 is very busy right now, especially since there are a lot of living areas along the way. When the Noida International Airport opens at the end of the year, traffic will likely get a lot worse, which makes this project even more important.
Regional Connectivity and Population Growth
The Greater Noida Authority Board has given its nod to the project, which is worth about 400 crore rupees. For building, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has been contacted, and a Detailed Project Report (DPR) should be ready in four to five months. In the beginning, the road will be 130 meters wide. It will then go through several important intersections and connect to NH-9 and the Delhi-Meerut Expressway
Strategic Importance for Future Infrastructure
The project, which is called a "Regional Connectivity Road," will serve a population that is expected to hit 15–20 lakh people in the next ten years. Greater Noida, Noida, and Yamuna officials plan to work together on finances, but talks about funding are still going on.
This elevated road is part of a larger plan to improve connectivity in preparation for more people using new facilities like the Noida International Airport and other expressway projects, which will cause demand to rise.
