Kanpur News: In news that has sent shockwaves through the legal community of India, a 24-year-old advocate at the Kanpur courthouse in the city’s Kotwali area on Thursday afternoon.
According to CCTV footage obtained by the Uttar Pradesh Police, Priyanshu was seen speaking on his phone before he took the step.

DCP East Satyajit Gupta remarked that the smartphone of the young advocate revealed a note posted as a WhatsApp status. Gupta added that Priyanshu was immediately taken to the Ursula Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Turn Of Events
The note by Priyanshu revealed his mental anguish and prolonged struggles. He wrote that his inability to clear the Provincial Civil Service-Judicial (PCSJ) exam after completing his LLB in 2016, financial hardships and the poor health of his father along with difficult conditions at home and the burden of family responsibilities were the reasons behind taking the arduous step.
Priyanshu wrote that no one was responsible for this step and his mother should not be troubled by anyone.
In the note, Priyanshu wrote about his bitter relationship with his father who used to scold, taunt and threaten him for several years. Priyanshu added that no child should have a similar father and added that his father should not be allowed to touch his body and ended the note by saying, “Papa, you won… congratulations on your victory.”
Priyanshu mentioned an incident from his childhood when was just 6 years old and was punished by his father after he was secretly drinking mango shake from the fridge. Priyanshu added that he was punished in a humiliating way and that memory stayed with him. It was further added that the constant pressure of studies, being beaten, constant suspicion, the lack of trust, years of mental torture and being monitored all the times were his reasons of taking his life.
