Lucknow News: Water Supply Disruption in Old Lucknow on November 28th

Lucknow News: Residents in a substantial area of Old Lucknow are set to face a temporary water crisis on November 28th due to a crucial infrastructure project near the Gaughat Raw Water Pumping Station.

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is currently undertaking the construction of a flyover under the green corridor, with significant implications for the existing 1200 mm drinking water pipeline beneath it. To facilitate the ongoing construction, the Jal Nigam (Urban) is scheduled to shift the pipeline on November 28th, resulting in a disruption of water supply to several areas connected to the Gaughat Raw Water Pumping Station.

Affected Areas Include:

  • Rajajipuram
  • Musahibganj
  • Mankameshwar Partial
  • Daliganj
  • Khadra (Kadmarsul, Ayodhyadas First and Second Ward)
  • Chowk
  • Balaganj
  • Saadatganj
  • Kashmiri Mohalla
  • Daulatganj

  • Radhagram
  • Iqbalnagar Khanti
  • Purvidevi Temple Thakurganj
  • Muftiganj
  • Kite Park

  • Gaughat, among others.

The water supply disruption is a necessary step to accommodate the relocation of the pipeline, and residents are encouraged to make preparations for their water needs on the specified date.

Emergency Contact for Water-Related Complaints:

Residents experiencing water-related problems are urged to contact the Water Department’s control room at 81770540100 to lodge their complaints.

This temporary inconvenience is part of a broader effort to enhance the city’s infrastructure. The LDA’s construction project aims to create a more efficient and sustainable water supply system for Old Lucknow.

Local authorities appreciate the understanding and cooperation of residents during this essential phase of development.
