The Maha Kumbh 2025 Mela, scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 26 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is expected to draw millions of devotees. The Yogi government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of this grand spiritual event. In addition to traditional safety measures, the administration has embraced advanced technology to manage crowds and prevent potential mishaps, especially fires.

Firefighting Robots and Mist Bikes to Ensure Safety at Maha Kumbh 2025

For the first time, the Yogi government is deploying cutting-edge tools like firefighting robots and fire mist bikes at the Maha Kumbh 2025. These technological innovations are part of a comprehensive safety plan to tackle fire-related incidents effectively.

Firefighting robots, capable of navigating tough terrains, will be stationed across key locations. These robots can quickly reach fire-prone areas and extinguish fires, ensuring faster response times and minimising the damage. In addition, the fire mist bikes, another innovative solution, will be used to control and suppress fires in crowded spots. With their ability to navigate through narrow paths and reach inaccessible areas, these bikes will play a crucial role in preventing fire incidents.

Enhanced Fire Safety with ATVs and Quick Response Vehicles

Along with the futuristic firefighting robots, the administration has increased the deployment of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and quick response vehicles at Maha Kumbh 2025. These vehicles will be equipped to tackle fire emergencies across various terrains, ensuring rapid access to any location within the vast Kumbh Mela grounds.

A total of 365 vehicles, including firefighting robots, ATVs, and other quick response units, are being stationed to ensure prompt action in case of an emergency. The presence of such advanced vehicles will greatly enhance the preparedness of the Yogi government for any unexpected situation during the Mela.

Firefighting Boats for River-side Safety

Given the presence of riverside tents and houseboats during the Maha Kumbh 2025 Mela, firefighting boats have been introduced as a part of the safety measures. These boats will use water directly from the Ganga River to douse any fires in the riverside areas, including restaurants and floating houses. Expected to be deployed in the coming days, these boats will serve as an additional layer of protection for the devotees.

Digital Innovation for Smooth Ticketing

The Yogi government is also integrating technology to streamline the experience for pilgrims, especially when it comes to transport. The North Central Railway division has introduced a digital ticketing system to minimise long queues. Pilgrims can simply scan QR codes printed on green jackets worn by railway personnel to download the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app, where they can book tickets directly.

This move is in line with the government's vision of a digital Maha Kumbh 2025, where technology aids in managing the huge influx of devotees and enhances their overall experience.
