Man who fired first at Umesh Pal shot dead in fresh UP encounter

The shooter from the Atiq Ahmed gang, who was the first to fire at Umesh Pal, was killed in a recent encounter in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. On Sunday night, a shootout broke out in the Kaundhiyara area between the police and the accused, Vijay Kumar alias Usman Chowdhary.

Vijay Kumar, the accused, reportedly suffered serious wounds during the encounter and was taken to Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital in Civil Lines, Prayagraj, where he was declared dead. Later, the body was sent in mortuary from the doctors. A day after the UP Police offered a 2.5 lakh prize for each suspect in the murder of Umesh Pal, an encounter takes place.

But, because Vijay Kumar's name was absent from the FIR, Prayagraj Police issued a 50,000 rupee reward for his discovery. According to police sources, the bounty on his head was reduced because he couldn't be located at the start of the investigation.

Minister Brajesh Pathak responding to the Uttar Pardesh Deputy Chief, said, “All accused in the Umesh Pal murder case will be punished severely and no one will be spared.”

He said there was an attack on the police and the police retaliated on the Samajwadi Party’s statement regarding courts being closed,

Several more people, including Vijay Kumar alias Vijay Kumar alias Usman Chowdhary, murdered Umesh Pal, the key witness in the 2005 BSP MLA Raju Pal murder case, at his home in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, more than a week ago. After defeating former MP Atiq Ahmed's younger brother Khalid Azim to win the Allahabad (West) assembly seat in his first election, Raju Pal was murdered a few months later.

Atiq Ahmed, a gangster-turned-politician, his brother, and ex-MLA Ashraf are the main suspects in the murder of Raju Pal. All of the accused are currently being held in jail. Surveillance footage captures Umesh Pal and one of his two police bodyguards exiting the SUV just as a man shoots him from behind.
