Meerut Murder: Love can make people blind, but how far can someone go? A horrifying Meerut Murder case has come to light where a woman with her lover kills her own husband in cold blood. Saurabh Kumar Rajput, a Merchant Navy officer, returned from London to surprise his wife Muskan Rastogi on her birthday. However, he had no idea that she had planned his brutal murder. After killing him, Muskan and her boyfriend Sahil Shukla cut his body into 15 pieces, attempting to cover up their crime.

The gruesome incident took place on March 4, 2025, when Muskan Rastogi stabbed her husband in the chest while he was sleeping in their bedroom. After ensuring he was dead, she and Sahil Shukla moved the body to the bathroom, where Sahil chopped it into 15 pieces, including hands and legs. They then stuffed the remains into a plastic drum and filled it with cement solution to hide the evidence.

Muskan and Sahil’s Clever Plan to Mislead Everyone

To avoid suspicion, Muskan and Sahil staged a fake trip to Shimla-Manali. For 12 days, Muskan kept posting pictures and videos on Instagram, pretending that she was enjoying a vacation. This was meant to convince family and friends that everything was normal.

How was the Meerut murder exposed?

On March 18, Saurabh’s younger brother Rahul visited their house in Indranagar Second, Brahmapuri. To his shock, he found Muskan with another man (Sahil) and sensed something was wrong. A strong foul smell was coming from inside the house. When Rahul questioned Muskan about Saurabh, she failed to give a convincing answer.

Realising something was suspicious, Rahul raised an alarm and neighbors gathered. The police were called, and upon investigation, they discovered the brutal murder. Muskan and Sahil were taken into custody, where they confessed to the entire crime.
