Noida International Airport: Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has announced that the aerodrome licence for the Noida International Airport at Jewar has been received by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

CM Adityanath remarked that the Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) has received the aerodrome license for Jewar’s Noida International Airport at Gautam Budh Nagar.

The DGCA license now allows the Jewar Airport to get put in the “public use, all-weather operations” category, which means that the Noida International Airport could now handle flights round the clock once the commercial services are officially announced.
Investment: The ‘Airport Effect’ In Western UP
According to project officials, the Jewar Airport would anchor substantial growth in aviation-linked sectors like logistic parks, data centres, warehousing, MRO facilities, organized retail and hospitality along with corridor. The Noida–Greater Noida–Yamuna Expressway belt is likely to improve regional and local connectivity.
More residential and industrial townships are likely to be notified. It is widely expected that the Jewar Airport could help in attracting manufacturing and services units that previously used to prefer Gurugram–Manesar or other NCR clusters, gradually rebalancing investment flows towards the Yamuna Expressway side.
New hubs near Jewar would facilitate faster movement of goods and growth in third-party logistics for the logistics & warehousing sectors. In the context of the real estate sector, appreciation in land, commercial and residential projects along with Yamuna Expressway is likely to boost per capita income.
The Jewar Airport is also likely to boost footfalls to destinations such as Mathura, Vrindavan, Agra, Meerut, Hastinapur and hill stations adjoining the state of Uttar Pradesh that can be accessed via surface links from Jewar.
