Noida News: A fun day at a Noida water park turned tragic for a group of friends after a 25-year-old man died shortly after taking a slide. The incident has sparked questions about negligence and safety protocols at the entertainment venue.
Dhanjay Maheshwari, a resident of Delhi's Adarsh Nagar, visited the Entertainment City water park at the Great India Place (GIP) Mall in Noida with his friends on Sunday afternoon. After collecting their supplies and storing belongings, the group headed straight for the slides.
Witnesses reported that Maheshwari went down the slide like his friends but began experiencing difficulty breathing afterward. He sat down to rest, but his condition didn't improve. The mall authorities quickly called an ambulance, which rushed him to the nearby Kailash Hospital. Tragically, doctors declared Maheshwari dead upon arrival.
The Noida Police have launched an investigation into the cause of death. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact reason behind the sudden tragedy. The authorities are also looking into allegations of negligence raised by Maheshwari's family against the mall's management.
