Noida News : Bhangel Elevated Road to Open for Public Use After August 15

Residents of Noida will soon experience smoother travel as the much-anticipated Bhangel Elevated Road nears completion. According to officials, the elevated stretch will be opened to the public after August 15, significantly easing traffic congestion between Noida and Greater Noida.

Final Touches Underway

Construction work on the elevated corridor is in its final stages, with key segments like approach roads, loop connections, signage, and lighting being finalized. Officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) have confirmed that most structural work is complete, and finishing touches will be wrapped up by mid-August.

Improved Connectivity

The Bhangel Elevated Road is expected to streamline traffic coming from sectors 82, 93, 110, 112, and connect smoothly towards Surajpur, Dadri, and Greater Noida. The road also aims to reduce travel time for daily commuters and decongest major arterial routes such as the Dadri Main Road and Pari Chowk stretch.

Boost to Local Development

Locals and commercial entities in the area are optimistic, hoping the new infrastructure will boost real estate values, ease logistics for businesses, and enhance overall commute safety. The opening of loop roads will further help in distributing traffic flow evenly, especially during peak hours.

Inauguration Soon

A formal inauguration is expected shortly after Independence Day, with Noida Authority and district officials likely to attend the ceremonial opening.

This development marks another milestone in Noida’s rapid urban infrastructure push, following recent expansions in metro lines, underpasses, and expressway enhancements.

The elevated corridor, which spans approximately 6 kilometers, has been constructed using modern engineering techniques to withstand heavy traffic loads. Equipped with LED lighting, noise-reducing barriers, and reinforced sidewalls, the flyover aims to ensure both safety and longevity. Drainage systems have also been integrated to avoid waterlogging during monsoons.

Environmental Considerations

In line with Noida Authority’s green infrastructure goals, several eco-friendly measures were adopted during construction. These include planting of saplings along the stretch, solar-powered lighting in some sections, and use of recycled construction material where feasible.

Citizens Welcome the Move

Many residents, especially those living in Bhangel, Barola, and Sector 82, have expressed relief that the long-pending project is finally nearing completion. “It used to take me 40 minutes to cross this stretch during office hours. With the elevated road, I expect to save at least 20 minutes daily,” said Rohit Jain, a resident of Sector 93.
