The vehicle, parked in a no-parking zone, was towed despite the presence of occupants—a clear violation of towing regulations. The senior citizens involved recounted their ordeal, explaining that they had parked momentarily to run an errand for a hospital visit, unaware of the no-parking sign obscured by tree branches.

Upon returning to find their car being towed, they entered the vehicle, appealing to the towing crew with pleas of urgency due to a family health concern. Despite their protests and the intervention of bystanders, they were informed that the car would have to be reclaimed from the police station.

In the aftermath of the incident and the resulting public uproar, the Noida Traffic Police sought to clarify their position. They pointed out that parking enforcement in the area falls under the jurisdiction of the Noida Development Authority (NDA), indicating a shift of responsibility for the mishap. The incident has prompted discussions on the need for clearer signage, better communication, and more compassionate enforcement practices in parking management.
