Partition Horrors Remembrance Day: As India commemorates ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ on the eve of Independence Day, political leaders across the country are expressing their thoughts and sentiments. This day honors the memory of those who lost their lives during the tragic partition of India and Pakistan, paying tribute to the millions affected by the violence and upheaval.
In Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow, a special event was organized to mark the occasion, attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and both Deputy Chief Ministers of the state. During the event, CM Yogi addressed the gathering and emphasized, “We will not let the tragedy of partition happen again. Our government is working to strengthen the foundation of India.”
CM Yogi Adityanath’s Statement
Addressing the event in Lucknow, CM Yogi Adityanath shared his reaction to Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. He began by paying homage to those who lost their lives during the partition. CM Yogi remarked, “The country was pushed into the tragedy of partition for political gains. This was not just a division of the country but also a division of humanity.”
He further clarified the government’s stance by stating, “We will not allow the tragedy of partition to happen again. The current government is working with full strength to maintain the integrity and sovereignty of the country.”
Attempt to Divide on Caste Lines
CM Yogi also touched upon the current situation, subtly targeting the opposition. He said, “Today, there are attempts to create division in the name of caste. But we will not let any malicious intentions succeed.”
Reference to Bangladesh
Highlighting the current scenario in Bangladesh, CM Yogi drew parallels with the partition of 1947. He said, “What happened in Pakistan in 1947 is happening in Bangladesh today. Hindus in Bangladesh are being killed, and the Hindu community is pleading for their lives.” He criticized the opposition for their silence on this matter, questioning their role in these events. CM Yogi asserted, “Out of fear of losing their vote bank, the opposition parties in India are maintaining silence on the atrocities against Bangladeshi Hindus.”
The Partition Horrors Remembrance Day serves as a reminder of the painful history of India and Pakistan’s division and a call to ensure such events are never repeated. CM Yogi’s address reflected a strong commitment to maintaining national unity and addressing challenges that threaten the fabric of Indian society.
