CM Yogi Adityanath: In a historic step, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has transferred ₹2000 crore to 2 lakh beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana 2.0. The initiative aims to provide financial assistance for affordable housing to economically weaker sections and lower-income families across the state.
This move strengthens the government’s commitment to improving living standards and providing safe, pucca houses to the deserving population.
Direct Benefit Transfer to Beneficiaries
The direct benefit transfer (DBT) ensures that funds reach the intended recipients without intermediaries. Each of the 2 lakh beneficiaries will receive a significant portion of the grant in their bank accounts, helping them to build, renovate, or complete their homes.
Officials emphasised that this transfer reflects *transparency, efficiency, and prompt governance*, aligning with the central government’s vision of inclusive development.

The PM Awas Yojana 2.0 is more than just a housing scheme. By providing funds directly to families, it empowers them to make choices about construction, materials, and design.
